Friends, by Definition

Friend:  A person in whom one knows, likes and trusts.

Trust:  Confidence in the integrity, ability, character and truth of a person or thing - one in which confidence is placed.

It is simply good on occasion to look up definitions of words of which you believe you know the true meaning, simply as a refresher and in assessment of the full extent of the word and how it applies to your life.

.... then when you find imperfections between the definition and what actually exists ....

Because things are what they are, and regardless of how you wish they were -- you really can't change them.
